This article explains how to set up and reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to help secure your account, digital badges, and learning progress.
Core Requirement
To use MFA, you must have a supported mobile authenticator app installed on your device.
Important:
MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account and helps protect:
- Your certifications and digital badges
- Your learning progress
- Your account from unauthorised access
Setting Up MFA
1. Install an Authenticator App
Install a supported authenticator app on your mobile device. Supported apps include:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
Both apps are available for Android and iOS devices.
2. Enable MFA
- Log in to your account
- Open your Account Settings
- Locate the MFA option and enable it
3. Scan the QR Code
- Open your authenticator app
- Select the option to scan a QR code
- Use your device camera to scan the QR code displayed on screen
4. Save Your Recovery Codes
Recovery codes are generated automatically during the MFA setup process.
Important:
- Save your recovery codes in a secure location as soon as they are generated
- Recovery codes can be used to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app or cannot generate MFA codes
- If you do not have your recovery codes and cannot access your authenticator app, you will need to contact the support team to regain access
Resetting MFA:
If you are locked out of your account due to MFA issues or loss of access to your authenticator app, you must contact the support team to request an MFA reset.
Your request must include:
- The reason for the reset request
- Screenshots showing the issue you are experiencing
- Your Receipt ID for any purchased products, if applicable
Important:
- All MFA reset requests are subject to verification checks before access is restored
- Providing incomplete information may delay the reset process
